Hello!

Sorry for the lack of lists last week, friends! After considering various options to solve our website problems, CAC has opted to move to our very own server (the move will be happening a.s.a.p.). It seems that with our incredible growth over the past while (including over 1000 members in the few short months since we’ve introduced that feature, as well as an ever-expanding readership, content, and resources), we needed to make the investment to keep CAC running as best as we can.

This change means that the big plans that were going to be launched on October 1st will instead gradually be announced over the next few weeks and months. Be sure to check back daily so you don’t miss any of the exciting new changes and amazing opportunities!

For now, here’s a MASSIVE job list with plenty of professional possibilities to begin your week with.

Have a wonderful day!

Desirée

Hello!

Simon!

I had a very exciting few days last week that included meeting someone special, an interview, endless preparations, calls & texts & emails, and finally on Friday, I brought home my new dog!

Simon (full name: Simon Cool Ziggy Hayward Ossandon as named by my two little ones) is a two year old black retriever that came to us from our amazing local humane society.

We’re thrilled!

We have a cat, Tut, but after our other cat, Baya, passed away earlier this year, we were really looking forward to welcoming a new pet into our home.

So today my question is about pets and other animals (whether friend or foe).

Do animals inspire your art?

I’d love to hear your answers below (and perhaps even hear about your pets and animal-themed work) after you check out the great list of jobs I have for you today.

Have a wonderful day!

Desirée

Do you have an artistic and/or career role model?

Today I’m curious about what role you play and what responsibility you might have to those who admire you and your work.

Do you consider yourself a role model? Would you want to be?

I’d love to hear your answers and thoughts in the comments below after you check out the list of great job opportunities I have for you.

Hello!

In our staff meeting yesterday, we discussed how June always seems to be a particularly busy month and how that leads to the need to sometimes scale back for the remaining summer months.

Do you take time off during July and/or August? Or perhaps adjust your schedule to summer hours?

I’d love to hear your answers in the comments after you check out the great list of jobs I have for you below.

Abstract Art - Heather Plewes

“Abstract Art” by Heather Plewes (@hplewes)
[Want to see your art here? Click here for more info.]

Hello!

Yesterday was a looong day for me as the night before I went to bed at 1 a.m. then woke up at 5:40 a.m. Every day/night has pretty much been that way for the last few weeks as I try to balance everything I need to do while juggling a demanding (!) schedule.

Feeling the lack of sleep dragging at my body and fogging my mind, I asked over CAC, Twitter, and Facebook how our community keeps their (artistic) energy up.

Here are a few of their answers:

“Little naps during the day and night! And eating energy making foods and lots of water…” - Susan Weiss

“take stretch breaks, dance and….coffee helps too :)” - Dorothy Weiss

“Good music and awesome coffee – not crappy coffee, this is important! Good tasting coffee = good work” - Ben Purkiss

“I pace myself and I take short frequent and guilt free breaks to avoid burning out early.”@sanleigh

“i can only write out at coffee shops. The tea and company keeps me going.” – laurie petrou (@lauriepetrou)

“I eat lots of nuts and make sure I have something good/new to listen to:)” – D’Andrea Bowie (@d_andreab)

“Healthy snacks, and drinking lots of water. Being busy with dance makes me very happy and grateful, so that helps the most!” –  Nicole Rose Bond (@NicoleRoseBond)

“Going to the gym totally helps” - @NFBMediatheque

“Healthy food choices and hydration. Plus quality coffee…” – Kate U (@TOViolinKate)

“Gym and/or ride my horse. Mostly “or” (no time for both!).” - @wpgreview

“3 cups of tea before 10:00am” – Karina Bergmans, @KBergmans

The suggestions kept coming, with most including food, exercise, naps, music, and coffee. Lots of coffee. Good coffee. Confession: I don’t drink coffee. No wonder my mind is so foggy! lol!

How do YOU keep your energy up when you’re super busy? Leave a comment below!

Perhaps finding the perfect opportunity will fuel you up, so here’s a great list of jobs for you below.

Have a wonderful day!
