It’s a good idea to treat yourself every once in a while. Life is stressful, work is hard, and the pace that we we’re constantly moving at is enough to make anyone feel rough at times.

So my question today is…

What are your artistic indulgences? How do you treat yourself when it comes to creativity?

Please let us know in the comments below (or share over Twitter & Facebook) and be sure to take a look at the awesome list of job opportunities below.

Hello!

Not that it’s anything new, but I’ve noticed a lot of “The point of art is…” and “It’s an artist’s responsibility to…” statements lately and it always interests me when people make definitive remarks about something that can mean/do so many things. I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately so thought I’d ask your thoughts.

Fill in the blank:

“The role of the artist is to _____________.”

I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments below after you check out the great list of job opportunities I have for you.

Have a wonderful day!

Hello!

The majority of you liked the new way I set up the list yesterday (i.e. sorting it by provinces), so I think we’ll keep it this way for now. We’ve also had it suggested that we separate the Toronto jobs since they dominate the Ontario section, so I’ll try that out as well.

As I mentioned yesterday, we’re always on the lookout for more websites to collect job opportunities from. So we’d love to know…

Other than CAC, where do you look for jobs in the Canadian arts?

Have a wonderful day!

Hello!

I’ve decided to do something a little different with the list today. We like to take our members suggestions into consideration (we’ve had plenty of ideas discussed about the best way to arrange the lists) and it’s always nice to switch things up every once in a while just to have something new & fresh, so I’ve split the jobs up into each province.

Do you prefer it this way? The old way? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!

I’ve also tracked down a few more websites to collect jobs from (which is awesome!), but we’re always looking for more to offer you as many opportunities as possible, so if you know of any others, please let us know in the comments section below.

Have a wonderful day!

Hello!

I’m thinking of getting away for a little bit in August, which is something I haven’t done in years. I have absolutely no idea where to go or what to do.

Where do you go and what do you do when you take a vacation? Is it ever arts related?

Hello!

I tried to take some time off yesterday after weeks of pushing myself too hard and too far. Relaxing doesn’t always come easy for me and when I know there’s work to do, I can’t seem to chill out at all. What about you?

What are your tips for allowing yourself the proper downtime?

How do you get yourself to relax?

Hello!

We have some great job opportunities on the list today as well as more internships than usual. What are your thoughts on internships?

A useful way to gain experience?

Or a way for employers to take advantage of those new to the industry?

Perhaps sometimes it’s one and sometimes it’s the other?

Be sure to leave your thoughts below after you check out the list of jobs (and internships) below.
