You probably know by now that Yelp is an important resource for finding and connecting with businesses all across Canada, and for reviewing what’s great and not so great in our local communities. But did you know that there is a free suite of state of the art tools on Yelp specifically for business owners? Whatever the size or character of your biz (make-up artist, theatre, non-profit, dance company, magician?) you can add it to Yelp, upload photos, and write a description that will help you show up in customer searches for the services you provide!

The last quarter saw a monthly average of 84 million unique visitors using Yelp to make buying decisions; spending a few minutes to put these free tools to work for you just makes sense (and dollars too, hopefully!). Put a personal face to your business by claiming the page, filling out your profile, responding to reviews and recommending other businesses you love. Watch your stats to see what’s working, and if you are in a city with Yelp Community Manager and an Elite Squad, you can even get in touch to see if there are ways to spotlight what you at special Elite Events and Yelper Parties like these recent shindigs in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver!
