As you may have noticed, we’re still having website issues from time to time. With CAC growing as quickly as it is (which is awesome!), our host is struggling to keep up. If you have any problems, please try links a second time if they don’t work the first time around and although the site can be slow right now, it will work eventually if you just give it a little time. We’re sorry for any inconvience and thank you to everyone for being so patient!

So this brings us to my question for the day…

Canadian Arts Jobs – 08/27/12

This weekend I found myself contemplating a move and although I’m not sure if/where/when it will happen, it had me thinking about the flexibility of my current job and lifestyle. If I wanted to, I could relocate to practically anywhere in the country (or beyond, I suppose).

So today my question is…

Why do you live/work where you do?

Have you submitted your art to our Flickr group but it still hasn’t been chosen as one of our featured pieces? Here are some reasons of why that might be…

1. Pieces must fit the slideshow on the front page.

If the pic of your art is small, it won’t fit the necessary space requirements. The original pics must be considerably larger than the ones seen at the top of the posts (bigger is better).
Pics that are more horizontal fit the space better as opposed to vertical pieces (if your pic is large enough, vertical pieces can still be used).

2. Artists must be identifiable.

If your Flickr user name is different from your CAC name, then I’m not able to properly credit the work and therefore can’t use it. If this is an issue, simply send us a message over Flickr letting us know your CAC user name.
