This is a one year maternity leave relief position.

Grants/Gifts:

Develops, in consultation with the Vice President, Development, an annual plan and targets for grants from Federal, Provincial and Municipal agencies, as well as Private, Corporate and Community based foundations plan. The plan will support the development and funding of potential exhibitions, programs, and capital needs for support, and will link funding needs to potential supporters. Develops a calendar of deadlines for funding opportunities across all known funding sources. Continually updates this calendar as new sources are introduced.

The Ontario Arts Council is a publicly funded arm’s-length agency of Ontario’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. OAC’s primary purpose is to award grants to professional artists and arts organizations.

BILINGUAL CULTURE DAYS ANIMATOR/COORDINATOR
Contract: mid March to October 2013
Pay Rate: $22.85 – $24.25/hour

Culture Days is a national volunteer-driven, grassroots movement led by arts and culture-aficionados and the arts and culture sectors in collaboration with municipalities, public funding agencies, provincial governments and the private sector. Now entering its fourth year, Culture Days will take place September 27 – 29, 2013 and will offer and promote free hands-on and behind the scenes cultural activities to the public in communities throughout Ontario and the rest of Canada.

The Culture Days Animator/Coordinator will be a resource for Ontario artists and arts organizations who are considering participating and/or coordinating activities for the 2013 Culture Days event. The individual will report to Ontario Arts Council’s Director of Communications and to the Ontario Culture Days Manager.

Sorry for the lack of lists last week, friends! After considering various options to solve our website problems, CAC has opted to move to our very own server (the move will be happening a.s.a.p.). It seems that with our incredible growth over the past while (including over 1000 members in the few short months since we’ve introduced that feature, as well as an ever-expanding readership, content, and resources), we needed to make the investment to keep CAC running as best as we can.
