The Satellite Video Exchange Society (VIVO Media Arts Centre) seeks a self-directed, motivated individual for the position of Fundraising + Development Coordinator. This is a part-time position created to lead the organization in the further development and implementation of our fundraising strategies and tools. This position has a two-fold responsibility: to build the fundraising infrastructure necessary for successful fundraising campaigns, and to lead SVES fundraising activities.  The Fundraising and Development Coordinator is responsible for conducting the day-to-day operational management and implementation of all activities pertaining to fund development and fundraising.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Okanagan Erotic Art Show (Okanagan, British Columbia)

The dates are set for the 2012 Erotic Art Show. This will be the fifth year. Please see the website for access to newspaper articles, and Youtube videos. There is a detailed FAQ as well for any questions you have.

As the popularity of the show continues to rise and the sense of community builds, the cost to enter is remaining at $10 per artwork, maximum three artworks. Deadline of Feb 28 is firm.

JOB: Program Officer – Community Radio Fund of Canada (Ottawa, Ontario)

The Community Radio Fund of Canada (CRFC) is an independent not-for-profit funding organization. Its mandate is to provide support to the more than 150 campus and community radio stations in Canada and to foster a well-resourced, dynamic, and accessible media sector that delivers strong local community broadcasting.

The CRFC is seeking a fully bilingual (English/French) program officer who will be responsible for the planning, assessment, and distribution of CRFC funding. This person will work with applicants and recipients throughout the year to provide support, encourage participation, assess applications and reports, and manage contracts.

Responsibilities
- Coordinating calls for funding applications, including responding to questions from applicants
- Managing the selection process, assessing funding applications, and providing support to selection committees
- Coordinating the announcement of funding decisions and working with recipients to finalize contracts, communications, and promotions
- Providing guidance and support to recipients throughout the funding term
- Receiving, assessing, and compiling information from recipient reports for review and use by the executive director, program committee, and funders
- Creating and maintaining a database of applications, reports, assessments, and communications
- Evaluating, visioning, and strategic goal-setting for existing and new funding programs
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures in support of the CRFC’s vision and evolution with respect to funding distribution
- Undertaking additional responsibilities as required, including assisting with special events, contributing to reports, and general office administration

Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- At least three years experience in program management, administration, and evaluation
- At least two years experience with communications and public relations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (comprehension as well as written and spoken fluency will be tested during the interview process)
- Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
- A strong understanding of project budgets and financial statements
- Strong project, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience working with little or no supervision
- Experience working with volunteers and committees

Assets
- Work and/or volunteer experience in the not-for-profit sector
- Understanding or knowledge of campus and community radio
- Experience working collaboratively and strategically to effect organizational growth and development

Attributes
- Self-directed and able to work with small teams
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail
- Enjoys working with a wide range of people
- Sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy skills
- Comfortable taking initiative during slow periods and managing workload when under deadline

Terms and Benefits
This is a full-time 40-hour/week position with a salary range of $45,000 to $50,000, commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits include: comprehensive health and dental plan, employee assistance program, annual RRSP contribution, and an office in the ByWard Market. Estimated start date is Monday, February 20, 2012. This is a permanent position.
