I’m currently working on a body of work entitled, “CAMP”. CAMP is a visual-arts project examining identity and contemporary nomadism through the eyes of indigenous, non-indigenous and new Canadians. I’ve been working on it for over a year and a half. There is a portable installation designed to set up and down in just a few minutes. Over the next few months, I’ll be photographing and filming the installation in various sites. There is also a film and media component, an interactive site in progress and a body of paintings. I’ll post a launch date here soon. |

I am currently working on illustrations for a children’s book, a new book proposal to my publisher, a new promotion, and a website update. This year I contributed to the 2012 Artists & Designers Market by Writers Digest Books and I just finished writing an article for How Design to be featured on their site. |

Some awesome stuff going on in here. My first full-length play is up for workshop production this April (2012) in Waterloo, Ontario. Check out my website if you’re in the area. Then in the fall I’m directing Antigone in Kitchener. I’m certainly lucky to be so busy. |

I am always doing a project every weekend! I am a face painter and I am always at a birthday party or event in Central Alberta! Every party or event is a project. I love what I do and I love to be a part of every event and be sparkly! |

I am working on developing an interactive documentary that will take my partner and I across Canada for a year. We will be talking and working with people to try and discover what our “Canadian Identity” is exactly. We are hoping to be able to meet up with other artists (of all sorts, not just filmmakers) along the way, so send me a note if this project is of interest to you — we still haven’t decided on all of our stops yet so we could use help with that: this country is an amazingly large place! |

I developed a collaborative curatorial project called “Open Book – An exploration of Books as Art” for the Whitestone Gallery in downtown Guelph. Supria Karmakar was my co-curator. Runs until March 29, 2012. The pieces selected were from artists from across Canada and the U.S. and their work examines the idea of Open Book as a metaphor of self, text as self medication, and ideas about how digital media has altered our perception of book and text. |

Working on a photography exhibit. Got a few things lined up and waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer to increase foot traffic. Plus doing a revamp of my site which began its life as a projects page which including photography but now photography is taking center stage. So I am doing that myself since I think I am a bit of a perfectionist and like to learn about every aspect of the creating process. |
