Canadian comedy fans, start getting excited! The irresistible duo of Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara are teaming up once again, this time in a TV series called Schitt’s Creek. Also starring and co-created by Levy’s son Dan (formerly of MTV Canada) and featuring Chris Elliott (Get a Life, There’s Something About Mary), the show will focus on a once-wealthy family that must now manage life without their fortune in Schitt’s Creek.
The show will follow the adventures of billionaire Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy), his soap star wife (O’Hara) and their two kids (including Dan Levy) after the family loses its fortune and are forced to live in the titular Schitt’s Creek, “an arm pit of a town they once bought as a joke.”

The half-hour comedy will begin production of 13 episodes this spring for CBC-TV with filming happening in Ontario.
“I’m just so proud to be doing this show back here in Canada,” the senior Levy said in a statement.
