Seeking New-Media Artists! International Scientific Research Project seeks artist to create animated video
Baycrest is one of the world’s top research institutes in cognitive neuroscience, focused on mitigating the impact of age-related illness and impairment, and unmatched global knowledge exchange and commercialization capacity.
We are seeking a technology forward, new-media artist to conceive and create an animated short video that will communicate the essence and vision of one of Baycrests’ exciting international in scope brain-focused research projects, launching this October.
The animated short video will be approximately 2 – 3 mins. in length, and should feature typography, illustration, infographics, voice-over narration, and music. Baycrest is interested in creative, imaginative, and most importantly an artist that can render the projects’ vision in a manner that is easy to understand by a lay audience.
Baycrest will pay an honorarium of $2,100 for the entire project.
The project timeline is one month – the animation is due as a fully vetted product by September 30th 2012, and the artist is required to meet with Baycrest stakeholders at key points in the creative process throughout September to be able to adhere to the strict deadline. The artist must have all equipment, databases, and software applications needed in the creation of the video.
Artists with knowledge of touch screen application technology are encouraged to apply.
