Wellesley Institute is looking for a skilled, experienced, creative, efficient graphic designer to help complete a exhibit project due at the end of the summer. The Wellesley Institute is a research and policy institute that works to improve population health through finding policy solutions to the social determinants of health. We do work in housing, on income inequality, and health equity, for example. The project will consist of large poster/panel pieces, with some chart design, some icons, some graphics and other illustrations and ways to organize and convey statistical material for a popular audience in an engaging way.

CALL FOR ARTISTS

York Region Community and Health Services invites visual artists (individual, groups or collectives) residing in The Regional Municipality of York to submit proposals to display art at the York Region Administrative Centre in Newmarket for a York Region Local Immigration Partnership community celebration event. The theme of the event is celebrating Canada, immigration and multiculturalism. The event is expected to attract approximately 100 guests and the media. In addition to exposure at the event, the art exhibit will be displayed in a public area of the York Region Administrative Centre in Newmarket with over 1000 staff.

JOB: Summer Camp Assistant – Waterloo Community Art Centre (Waterloo, Ontario)

Summer Camp Assistant

The Waterloo Community Art Centre in Waterloo, ON is looking for two young and enthusiastic people between the ages of 18-25 to be a summer camp assistant in our Raiders of the Lost Art summer camp. Applicants must have an interest or be educated in art, and also be familiar and comfortable working with children between the ages of 5-12. A backcheck is required. Two positions are available. The hours are 8:30-4:30, week days, for 6 weeks from July to August.
